The Community Service Project is an important aspect of the NAAWLI program. It is
referred to throughout the leadership development component. Only candidates committed
to following through on their projects, even when circumstances change, such as
a promotion or job relocation, should accept this opportunity. Fellows report quarterly
on their projects during the first year of implementation and semi-annually the
second year. In addition, fellows will develop a two-year project timeline to be
submitted in June. Although we expect the timeline to be modified as the project
progresses, it is the basis for monitoring the project. The framed certificate of
program completion is awarded at the end of the second year of the community service
project, based on meeting the objective of serving at least 25 individuals each
year. We will share progress on the community service project with your the fellows
annually. Please consider carefully your decision to apply for the fellowship, based
on the project commitment.
Listed below are the community service projects and the class they were developed
from. Please click on the project name to view a brief description of each.
