NAAWLI welcomes grants and in-kind contributions. Grants generally support program activities. Other donors make women in their organizations aware of the program and support their participation in the program by covering the cost of tuition. We are proud to include State Farm Insurance Companies as the longest term supporter. In addition to State Farm, the W. K. Kellogg Foundation and Dell Inc. are contributors. The Gallup Organization partners with NAAWLI to provide fellows the opportunity to participate in the Gallup leadership experience.

Partners who support women attending the program gain a return on investment that includes employees who return to the workplace recharged, reflective and possessing a deeper self-awareness. The workplace benefits from a highly motivated, self-confident employee with an enhanced understanding of how to maximize talents for personal and professional growth.

Michael Brown, Corporate Public Relations Manager—African American Communities at State Farm Insurance Companies, attests to the kinds of outcomes employers can expect. "Knowing some of the NAAWLI fellows as colleagues at State Farm and seeing the contributions they make to our corporate environment is the kind of return on investment the company seeks through its philanthropic efforts."

Michael should know. After all, State Farm has sponsored 14 of its employees to participate in NAAWLI. In fact, State Farm is our primary funding partner. Recently, the W. K. Kellogg Foundation joined the ranks of NAAWLI sponsors, matching State Farm's 2004 contribution. The foundation funds will help NAAWLI develop a one-day workshop, Self-Management: Strategic Tools for Effective Leadership. The workshop is offered on-site in cities across the country.

The National African-American Women’s Leadership Institute Tax Identification Number (also known as Employee Identification Number or EIN) is 22-3884110.
