Companions: A Faith Connection Project developed by: THURMA L. HILTON Location: Corpus Christi, Texas Companions: A Faith Connection, is a faith-based project housed at St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church in Corpus Christi, Texas. By helping older, single adults find shared living arrangements, the project aims to alleviate the isolation and loneliness of seniors trying to manage on their own with dwindling resources. Companionship, hopefully, will stimulate their minds, give emotional support, and ensure an added measure of personal safety, a common concern among elderly women in particular.
