Project Deeper Project developed by: RENESIA CROSBY Location: Greeley, Colorado Project Deeper is a faith-based program that assists victims of abuse, neglect, addiction and abandonment to live healthier lives through understanding the root causes for their dysfunctional behaviors. The project is based on the literature of Cleansing Stream Ministries, a self-help program that partners with pastors and churches to restore those seeking to overcome dysfunctional behavior that has devastated their lives and often separated them from families and friends. The target population is individuals 18 or older who have sought counseling to improve their quality of life and who want a faith-based group setting to accomplish this goal. Using workbooks, video tapes and audio tapes during a series of intense meetings, over three to four months, the project challenges participants to explore Bible scriptures and uncover belief systems to discover why certain behaviors emerged, to learn productive techniques for self-management and discipline, and to set practical, attainable life goals. The project partners with Rock Church in Greeley, which provides the facility for group meetings.
